Been active in local underground scene since 1996, they released their first split-demo with another local indie band and acclaimed as one of the best demo of the year in The Sun Blasting Concept readers’ poll. Also in that year, with their own composition, they came out as the champion for nationwide Pepsi Challenge - Young Discovery (equivalent to Rentak Juara and Malaysian Idol combined - without the SMS votes, of course) that was organized by Pepsi, AIMM and TV3. In 1997 they released their first major label album under Rock Central Records and distributed by BMG. Co-produced with Ramli MS, who was the Executive Producer, the album was nominated for 4 categories in Anugerah Industri Muzik 1998,Best New Artist in a Group,Best Local English Album,Best Engineered Album, and Best Video Clip.Well known for their great songwriting and outstanding live performance, they bagged in various award categories in local music fanzines and magazines (ROTTW, Konsert, etc), among them,Best New Artist/Group 1998 and Best Video Clip 1998. “READ MY MIND” was selected as the best video clip of the month in Anugerah Video Muzik 1998. Been in a hiatus for almost 6 years, the band made a comeback in 2008, still in-demand for performances all over Malaysia with their brand new single titled “NOWHERE”. Scheduled to hit the studio for their new EP in 2009 and pre-production is already in progress. “All Killers, No Fillers” is their mantra for songwriting.

Kuala Lumpur based Deserters are the hybrid of their diverse musical backgrounds and the best bits of your record collection, all sprinkled with a little attitude.Formed in 2006 by singer / songwriter Zack Yusof, this unlikely combination has been a regular on the buzzing Kuala Lumpur live scene, earning a solid reputation as passionate tunesmiths with a love of guitar noise, a knack for melody and an impressive repertoire of edgy-but-catchy indie pop songs.Self-funded, self-managed and 100% independent, Deserters have released one ep (2007’s Last Chance) and one single (2010’s Easier Said Than Sung). The band's first mini album (7 tracks), Free Deserters, is due to be released by the end of this year, and the band completed a successful summer tour to London & Amsterdam middle of 2010 (July-August) to promote their first effort.
In the month of July 2009, a group of musicians from various musical backgrounds came together to put in their own thread of creativity into forming a band after the name, EVE. The original band members include frontwoman, Eve on vocals, Darren on bass, David on the drums and Terry as the lead guitarist. However, Darren left the band in early 2010 to focus on An Honest Mistake and David left as well in May to pursue his studies in Australia. The band went through a reshuffling period, and we are fortunate to have Isaac Ravi (guitarist for Prema Yin/MON9) and Xavier James (regular sessionist for Bus Company) to play the bass and the drums respectively for the band.Being a songwriter, Eve's main influences derive from bands of different genres like Flyleaf, Story Of The Year, Saosin, Paramore and many more which has helped to mature her writing. Yet, guided by her own beliefs, she takes listeners from plain negativity into a field of positivism. She hopes to deliver messages of hope and love, like igniting a candle in the midst of darkness; uplifting with spirit-filled lyrics. The band helps to provide a wide array of brooding beats and atmospheric riffs that compliments to Eve's vocal range from breathy to aggressive, emphasizing the authenticity of the emotions she intends to portray.
Once Upon A Time There Was A Sausage Named Bob was formed on 25th November 2009 and consists of five members. The band’s line up includes female vocalist Esty Richards, Jared Lee and his brother Lee Wei Chen on guitar and bass respectively, followed by Anthony Lee on lead guitar and JC Lam on drums. The band was formed from their passion to create music. Very much like the band’s name, their music is widely influenced by the petty, random, daily incidents revolving around their lives giving their songs and material a very “easy-to-relate-to” approach for audiences. The band is well known for their energy and enthusiasm on stage and the great fun they bring to their live performances. This fast rising band has managed to rack up a lot of experience in a short amount of time and has performed in venues such as KL Live Centre, HardRock Cafe Kuala Lumpur, Sunway Pyramid, MOS @ Sunway Pyramid, Luna Bar, Laundry Bar and many more music indie events such as Doppelganger, GO-11 Rockabola, Moonshine and others.
Formed in 2008, Car Crash Hearts (CCH) was the brain child of Alda. Using the powers of the internet, he found band members; Collin and Aliff through Facebook! Current line-up includes Kevin Theng on drums. Known for their energetic live performances, CCH went from strength to strength, playing gigs and concerts after debuting in December 2008 as the opening band for One Buck Short for their gig 'One Buck Short & Friends' 2009 has been a year of revelation for CCH as their first single 'Rahsia' entered the Fly FM Campur Chart, also as Artiste of the Week. They were listed for concerts such as Rock the World 9 and Rockaway 2009. Their music also took them out of the state for shows in Penang and Perak. CCH were also amongst the finalists for 2009 Global Battle of The Band (Malaysia Leg) 2010 would be a landmark year for the band. The release of their debut EP entitled Learning To Drive in May has produced a #1 single in Just A Face In The Crowd among further hits like Kawan, Aku Rebah and Sometimes I Wonder. Apart from the EP, CCH went on to be one of the top 8 finalist bands in RTM’s (Radio Televisyen Malaysia) Rentak Juara battle of the bands competition, battling for RM200,000 which finals had an estimated 8million viewers across Malaysia. 2010 would also be the year that CCH breaks into the regional festival circuit with their first appearance at Baybeats; The Esplanade Singapore’s annual indie festival.
